You must be an Admin User in order to assign the Preset Curriculum.
🚩Only ONE admin user per school (or district if assigning district-wide) should assign the preset to prevent creation of duplicate assignments.
Before creating a preset curriculum from scratch, Navigate360 recommends reviewing the scope & sequence and lesson lists for the curriculum available to you. Lesson lists are located on each curriculum tab under Download Resources.
Coming soon: All resources can be accessed under “View Resources” in the top right corner of the homepage.
Step1: Log into Compass Curriculum and click on “Preset Curriculum” in the top right corner.

Step 2: A new tab will open. Select “Create Preset from Scratch”.

Step 3: If needed, set the dates for the current school year. Then, set the start and end dates for your preset curriculum, followed by the number of lessons you would like to assign.

Step 4: Select the grade drop-down to assign lessons to a specific grade level. Select multiple grade levels to assign the same lesson to students in multiple grades, often used for multi-grade classrooms.
To assign lessons to specific schools, District Admin can choose a school from the drop-down first. School Admin will only be able to assign lessons to the students at their school.

Step 5: Select “Load Preset Curriculum”

Step 6: The Curriculum Schedule will appear with same number of lesson slots as the number of lessons entered in step 3. “Add Lesson” to open the Lesson Library.

⚠️Lessons flagged as ‘hidden' in the lesson library will still appear in the Preset Curriculum schedule unless removed.
Step 7: Use the keyword search or the filters at the top to locate a lesson. Consider using the scope & sequence or lesson lists provided for each library to identify the lesson title and quickly locate the lesson you would like to assign.

Step 8: Use the checkbox to select a lesson, then select “Add Lesson” in the bottom right corner.

Step 9: Continue selecting lessons for each week by repeating steps 6-8. Quickly change the order of lessons by clicking the waffle icon to the right of a lesson and dragging the lesson to the correct placement.
Step 10: Once all lessons have been chosen, Open the “Preview & Assign” drop down in the top right corner. Select “Preview & Assign” again.
Note: To delete your selections and start over, select “Delete Curriculum”.

Coming soon! Selecting “Edit Curriculum Name” allows you to name your custom curriculum schedule and recall the curriculum.
Step 11: After reviewing your selections, select “Assign Curriculum” to assign all lessons to the selected audience. Then, close the confirmation screen.

Editing Lesson Selections
Use the 3 dots to the right of each lesson to make additional adjustments. You can select each of the following:
- “Change Lesson” to reopen the lesson list and select a new lesson
- “Change Lesson Order” to enter a new week number
- “Change Start & End Dates” to adjust assignment dates. Note that the Curriculum Schedule automatically creates weekly lesson assignments
- “Remove Lesson” to remove the lesson slot

At the bottom of the Curriculum Schedule, select “Add a New Lesson Slot” to add additional lessons to the Curriculum Schedule.

Modifying Preset Curriculum Assignments
Should you need to edit assignments AFTER you've assigned the preset, any adjustments can be made on the Group Assignments tab, including dates, audience, and assignment deletion – see Edit/Delete Existing Assignments
