The SECA is no longer a student-facing assessment for grades K–4. Instead, it is recommended that teachers will complete a rubric for each K-4 student during the designated assessment window, or when needed for a student.

1- Access the Resources Section of your Compass Dashboard.
- Log in to the Compass platform.
- Navigate to the “Resources” tile.

2- Download the Appropriate Rubric
- From the dropdown menu, choose the version you’ll use:
Short-form Questions (17 items – global social-emotional overview)

Long-form Questions + Rubric (40 items – detailed eight-domain assessment)

3- Save the Downloaded File to your Device
4- Complete the Rubric for Each Student, Calculate Results
- During the assessment window, fill out a rubric for every K-4 student in your classroom. Base your responses on observations and knowledge of the student’s social skills.
