Summary
Navigate360 dispatches eLearning content to customers exclusively in SCORM 1.2 format. These SCORM packages are intended for import into your organization’s Learning Management System (LMS). Other versions of SCORM or alternative content standards are not supported for dispatch by Navigate360.
What is SCORM 1.2?
SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a widely accepted standard for packaging eLearning content so it can communicate with Learning Management Systems.
SCORM 1.2 is a specific version of the standard that allows for:
- Tracking learner progress (e.g., completed/incomplete)
- Capturing scores and pass/fail data
- Recording time spent on a course
- Launching the content from within your LMS
It is one of the most broadly supported versions across commercial LMS platforms and authoring tools, making it the most reliable format for external distribution.
Navigate360 provides clients with SCORM 1.2 dispatch packages. These are:
- Zip files formatted to SCORM 1.2 specifications
- Designed to be imported directly into your LMS
- Configured to report basic learner tracking data, depending on your LMS capabilities
How to Use the SCORM 1.2 Dispatch Files
- Receive the SCORM 1.2 zip package from your Navigate360 contact.
- Import the zip file into your LMS using your platform’s standard content upload/import functionality.
- Configure course settings (e.g., availability, audience, due dates) within your LMS environment.
Your LMS will then host, launch, and track the Navigate360 content internally.
