Subject: Strengthening School Safety with Enhanced Panic Button Functionality
Dear Team,
Ensuring a safe and secure learning environment is a responsibility we all share. As part of our ongoing commitment to school safety, I’m excited to announce a new initiative that will further strengthen our ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
We are expanding our Emergency Management strategy by adding new Notify360 Panic Buttons to complement the existing emergency alert functionality available through Navigate360’s Emergency Management mobile app. Access Emergency Management Mobile App Resources
While all staff members already have access to activate an emergency alarm through the app, these new hardware additions will provide another layer of protection, ensuring quick and discreet access to emergency assistance when needed.
[Insert district-specific panic button strategy – example below:]
- Wall-mounted panic buttons will be installed in key areas throughout each building, including the front office, library, cafeteria, and management center. When activated, these buttons will initiate a Secure/Lockdown alarm within the Emergency Management system, notifying all staff members immediately.
- Wearable panic buttons will be provided for substitute teachers, allowing them to quickly activate emergency alarms even if they are unfamiliar with building protocols.
This initiative represents an important step forward in our safety efforts, and we will continue to build upon it with training, awareness, and ongoing support for every member of our school community.
Thank you for your dedication to making [School District Name] a safe and supportive place to learn and grow.
Best regards,
