When staff members change locations or roles, it’s important to keep panic button assignments up to date. Reassigning or renaming a panic button ensures accurate location details and that alerts are routed to the correct individuals.
Follow the steps below to reassign or rename a Panic Button.
- Access Manage Devices > Wireless Panic Buttons to view a full list of Panic Buttons configured in your organization
- Using the Search Function, find the name of the button you want to update
- Select the Pencil Icon to the right of the button to edit settings.
- In the edit screen, update:
- Button Name
- User Email
- User First Name
- User Last Name
- User Phone
- Associated Notes
- Click Update to save changes
If changes do not save, try resetting your panic button to default factory settings, and repairing the device.
