Campus360 Overview & Access
What Campus360 is
Campus360 is Navigate360's integration between Emergency Management and 911inform. Together, these systems enable panic alarm activation and deliver alerts through multiple notification methods, so the right people are informed the moment an incident begins.
As an Admin, Campus360 is the system you use to receive, acknowledge, respond to, and end alarms. This training plan focuses on the day-to-day management of alarms and notifications within Campus360.
How the systems relate
- Emergency Management is the platform all users originate from. Your account, login, and access all start here.
- 911inform provides the alarm detail and notification capability that drives alerts to responders.
You do not need separate logins for these systems, your Emergency Management account provides access across the platform.
How you access the system
Access happens in two ways, and both use the exact same login:
- Web browser is used primarily for system management.
- Mobile app is used for alarm response and handling active alarms.
You will use the same username and password in both the browser and mobile app. Because alarm response happens on the move, the mobile app is the tool you will rely on most while responding to incidents. The browser is where broader management tasks live.
First login and password reset
If you have not previously logged into Emergency Management, you will want to reset your password to gain access. Go to ems.navigate360.com and click FORGOT PASSWORD. Reset your password to access the system.
Downloading & Logging into the Mobile App
Downloading the app
The mobile app is used to manage alarms and notifications in the Emergency Management (EM) app. Find it by searching “Navigate360” in your device's app store, or use the direct link for your device:
- iPhone: download the EM Mobile App from the Apple App Store.
- Android: download the EM Mobile App from Google Play.
Initial login and setup
- Download and open the EM mobile app on your phone.
- Log in with your EM credentials.
- On your first login, you will be asked to accept notifications.
Depending on your device, you may see two separate prompts, one for regular notifications and one for critical alerts. Select Allow on both. Both types matter, and you can adjust them later from the app's settings page.
App Settings:
Open settings by tapping the three-line menu in the top corner of the app. From here you can view and adjust everything below.
- Settings › Site Notifications: view the sites and buildings you are set up to receive alarms for. Use this to confirm you are covering the locations you expect. If additional sites need to be added, follow the Building Notification steps in the web browser application.
- Settings › Notifications: see whether each device notification type—Alerts, Badges, and Sounds—is enabled or disabled for the EM app. To change any of these, tap Open Settings, which takes you to the EM app's notification settings on your device.
Best practice: make sure Critical Alert is toggled on for the EM app. With Critical Alert on, alarms come through your phone's settings and play the alarm sound even when your phone is locked or on silent. While you are in your device settings, also confirm sounds, badges, and alerts are all enabled, so nothing is missed during an emergency.
Send test notification
In the Settings area, you will find an option to send a test notification to your device. Use this to confirm your notifications are working as expected.
Note: you cannot test a Critical Alert on your own. Critical Alert testing only happens as part of a school-facilitated test. You can, however, test regular notifications at any time.
Notifications not coming through? Review resource: Troubleshooting: EM Mobile App Notifications
Text (SMS) Notifications:
In addition to app notifications, guardians and admins should have text (SMS) notifications enabled so alerts also reach you by text message.
Important: text notifications are currently enabled in the desktop browser only. They cannot be turned on from the mobile app at this time. Without this step completed, you will not receive text notifications.
To view and confirm your text notifications are set up, follow the instructions here: Opt-in to SMS Text & Email notifications for Emergency & Drill Alarms—EMS
How Staff Assist Notifications Work
Important: Instructions below refer to the standard setup for Staff Assist alarms. District Admins have the option to customize alarm names and who receives notifications. By default, all staff receive notifications unless specifically configured.
Who receives a Staff Assist alarm
The Staff Assist alarm is configured to notify only a select group of users, not everyone in the system. This keeps alerts targeted to the people responsible for responding. This configuration is managed in the web browser, and it involves two levels of administrator:
- District administrators enable the Staff Assist function.
- Building administrators can then add or remove the specific users assigned to receive Staff Assist notifications for their building.
If you are an administrator responsible for managing users who receive alarm notifications, you will need to know how to add and enable additional users. For step-by-step instructions on editing these assignments at both the district and building level, see: Feature Overview: Alarm Type Notifications
How staff can activate Staff Assist alarms
Staff assist alarms can be activated in two methods:
- Wearable Panic Button - blue, lower level alarm activation
- EM Mobile Application - mobile panic button
If your district is interested in purchasing Wearable Panic Buttons, contact your Navigate360 team to learn more.
What happens when the alarm is activated
Once notification assignments are configured, Staff Assist alarms follow a standard alarm flow:
- A teacher presses the Staff Assist alarm on their wearable panic button or from the mobile application.
- Only the configured users receive the alert. Everyone else in the system is not notified.
- Each configured responder receives a mobile app push notification, and a text message if text notifications are configured.
- Admin use these notifications to access the alarm and begin responding.
Opening the alarm from a text
The text message will include a URL that opens the mobile app directly to the alarm, so you can move from the text straight into responding.
Responding to Staff Assist Alarms

Getting to the active alarm
When a Staff Assist alarm is activated, you will receive your push notification and SMS text prompting you to open Emergency Management. You will see the alarm listed as active. Click into the alarm to begin responding.
Locating the alarm
Inside the alarm, you will see a map of where the alarm was activated. A blinking red indicator marks the location, based on the beacon placement in your school. Use this to identify where the alarm was triggered.
Open the Command Center and Acknowledge
From the alarm, click Go to Command Center to open the Command Center view. From here you:
- Acknowledge the alarm, confirming you are responding.
- Add comments as needed to communicate status or details about the response.
Respond
With the location confirmed and the alarm acknowledged, respond according to your building's procedures.
In current state, only one alarm can be active per building at a time. As soon as you have acknowledged and responded to the alarm, end it. If an alarm is not ended, staff cannot activate a secondary alarm at that building. Leaving an alarm open blocks the next real emergency from getting through.
Ending the alarm is what makes the building ready for the next incident.
How to end an alarm
Ending an alarm can be done in either the mobile app or the desktop browser. On the alarm page, admin users will see the option to select End Alarm.
Who can end an alarm
The End Alarm function is specific to admin users. If staff have access to Emergency Management, they will not see the option to end an alarm. Only Rapid Alarm admins can end an alarm. If other users need permission to end alarms, enable Rapid Alarm Admin settings. Knowledge Base resource: Rapid Alarm Settings: Roll Call & Reunification User Type
Looking ahead at system enhancements
This single-alarm limit is current-state behavior. An enhancement is coming that will address it, allowing multiple Staff Assist alarms at once, while still limiting a campus to one Lockdown alarm at a time.
After Incident Documentation
After an alarm has ended, you can review documentation on what happened. This is done in Emergency Management on the web browser.
Finding a past alarm
- Log into Emergency Management in the web browser.
- Go to Rapid Alarm.
- In Rapid Alarm you will see both active and past alarms. Select Past Alarms.
- You will see the previous alarms that have been activated. From here you can review comments and other documented information such as location and activation method.

Viewing full alarm details
To see the complete record, click View Past Alarm Details on the alarm you want. This opens the full detail view of the incident:
- Incident Overview: Address, Alarm Duration, Start and End time, Who Triggered the Alarm, Method of Activation
- Roll-Call & Reunification: Roll-Call and Reunification statuses and details
- Communication: Chat history
Export all past alarm details from the incident by using the download option in the top left corner of the screen.
