Email Reminders – Importance of Updating the “from” Field

How to ensure email delivery by replacing the Power User/Admin’s email address with: noreply@navigate360.com

Step 1: Navigate to the  gear wheel in the top right corner to access admin settings. 

Step 2: Click on “Course Management”. 

Step 3: Select the name of the course you would like to invite staff to begin.

Step 4: Select the user(s) you would like to email.

Success Tip #1: Send emails to all users in a course by selecting the box to the left of the word “USERNAME” then clicking “SELECT ALL” at the bottom of the page. You can also email individual users by selecting the box to the left of their username.

Success Tip #2: You can filter by Enrollment Status by clicking on the filtering tool. By selecting the “Enrolled” and “In Progress” filters, you select users that have not completed the course. We recommend filtering by Enrollment Status then sending an email to those who have not yet completed the course.

Step 6: In the bottom right corner of your screen, you will see a purple "Choose Action" button. Click it and select "Send Email."

Step 7: Instead of sending emails from your email address, you will update the “From” line and replace your email address with the following: noreply@navigate360.com.

Success Tip #3: It is very important to send emails as noreply@navigate360.com. Think of the noreply@navigate360.com email address as a mask coming from “nowhere”. Now think of your Power User/Admin email address masquerading as you but not actually being you. Because of this, sending emails from your email address instead of noreply@navigate360.com will be met with a more stringent, deeper level of security because your system sees an email from the portal in a mask “dressed up” as you but not really you. The system will not recognize you and may result in emails you try to send being analyzed and sent to spam, depending on your organization’s level of security. Emails coming from noreply@navigate360.com are not met with as much security screening because this email address is not seen as masquerading as or pretending to be you. 

Step 8: Type your subject line and customize message, copy/paste any short codes (like the course, portal link, or username) and click “Submit”. The email will go to all the selected users individually from the noreply@navigate360.com email address.
