The Compass October 2026 release is scheduled for October 13, 2026. This release makes it easier to reassign lessons, gives teachers more control over who joins LessonLink sessions late, adds flexible report exports, and adds a new way to explore Navigate360 products.
✨ What's New in This Release
Assignments
🔁 Reassign Lesson
Teachers and admins can now reassign a lesson to a student directly from lesson reporting, without rebuilding the assignment from scratch.
📍 Where to Find It
- Select Reassign next to a student's lesson on lesson reporting pages, including BI Reports, Group Lessons, Individual Lessons, MH Group Lessons, MH Individual Lessons, and Preset Lessons
- The Create an Assignment page opens in a new tab
📝 How It Works
- The student name and lesson are filled in from the original assignment
- Enter a new assignment title and start and end dates, then create the assignment as usual
LessonLink
🚪 Late-Join Requests for Group Sessions
Teachers now decide who can join a LessonLink group session after it has started, so instruction is not interrupted.
🔔 For Teachers
- A notification appears when a student asks to join a session in progress
- Select Admit or Deny for each student, or review several requests at once in larger sessions
- Notifications do not block the lesson and can be addressed when it is convenient
🎓 For Students
- Students see a waiting screen while the teacher reviews their request
- Admitted students join at the point where the class currently is in the lesson
- Students who are not admitted see a clear message asking them to check with their teacher
Reports
📤 Custom Export Results
Admins can now choose exactly which columns to export and send the file to other staff members in one step.
📊 Choose Your Columns
- Select Export Results to open a new export window
- Select the columns to include, or use Select All
- Drag columns to set their order in the file
📧 Send to Staff
- Choose one or more staff members to receive the CSV file by email
- A confirmation message appears when the file is ready and has been sent
- If no one is selected, the file downloads to your browser as before

- BI Reports, Group Lessons, Individual Lessons, MH Group Lessons, MH Individual Lessons, Resiliency Ed Progress, Preset Lessons, and Elective Library reports
SSIS Screeners
Important Note: This update applies to sites using SSIS screeners in Compass.
📋 Screener Completion Before Moving On
The Next button now appears only after a student finishes the screener, so students cannot skip ahead before completing it.
Navigate360 Products
🧭 App Switcher
A new App Switcher gives users one place to open and explore the Navigate360 family of solutions.
- Select the new grid icon in the Compass header to open the Navigate360 Products panel
- Select any product your organization has access to and it opens in a new tab
- Choose Explore All Navigate360 Solutions to learn about other products
🚀 Getting Ready for the Release
No action is required before the release. However, we recommend:
- Sharing the new Reassign option with teachers who follow up on failed lessons
- Letting LessonLink teachers know they will now admit or deny late-joining students
- Showing report users the new Export Results options
