Incident Types
With the 911Cellular integration, specific alarms will be configured to notify your Emergency Response Teams. While these are called "Alarms" in Emergency Management, they are referred to as "Incident Types" in 911Cellular. In this configuration step, learn how to configure Incident Types.
How to Configure Incident Types
- To configure Incident Types, navigate to: Configure Incident Types
- Click Add Incident Type to create a new incident category.
- Adjust settings to determine how and where the incident type will be displayed.
Incident Types Settings:
Displaying Incident Types to End Users
- For Computer Panic Button Users: To ensure an incident type appears when a user triggers an alert via the Computer Panic Button, toggle "Enabled on computers" to On.
- For CampusShield App Users: To display an incident type in the Mobile Safety App, toggle "Enabled on mobile app" to On.

Important Note: Local Assist Feature
If Local Assist is toggled On, alerts triggered with this setting will not appear in the Emergency Calls tab. This means E911 calls will not be made.
This feature should only be used for lower-priority situations that do not require an emergency response.
