This release introduces LessonLink, a new way to deliver lessons live to a whole class or group at once, along with the Progressive Summary Dashboard, a consolidated view for tracking lesson progress and completion across your account.
PLATFORM ENHANCEMENTS
LessonLink
- LessonLink lets a teacher run a lesson live with a whole class or a small group at once. The teacher generates a class code, and students enter it to join a synced session so everyone moves through the lesson together.
- Students can join from the lesson card in their assigned lesson list using Join Group Lesson, or from the navigation header by entering the class code directly.
- Student screens stay locked to keep pace with the teacher, and automatically unlock during the pre-quiz and post-quiz so students can respond individually.
- If a session is interrupted, its status becomes Paused. Teachers can resume from Assignments, which shows the session code, audience, and last known progress, and the group resumes together from the same checkpoint.
- Credit is awarded to the students present when the session is marked complete. LessonLink sessions appear separately under Assignments to show live session status and history, and existing assignment categories and reporting are unchanged.
Joining a session already in progress is not currently supported. Students who try to join after the teacher has started the lesson will see a waiting screen until the next session.
Progressive Summary Dashboard
- The Progressive Summary Dashboard is a consolidated reporting view that rolls lesson progress and completion up across your account.
- Admins can drill down from district, to school and grade, to student and teacher, to individual student detail.
- District: all schools in the account, with lesson stats (assigned, completed, percentage).
- School/Grade: the same stats broken down by school and grade.
- Student/Teacher: toggle between student view and teacher view; teacher numbers aggregate every student across that teacher’s classes.
- Student Detail: every lesson assigned to that student and when they completed it.
- As long as a student is assigned a lesson and completes it, credit rolls up correctly to the teacher and class it’s tied to, regardless of how or where the student completed it.
- Your existing reporting pages (group, individual, behavior intervention, mental health assignments) remain available and unchanged. The Progressive Summary Dashboard is an additional, consolidated view alongside them.
- Data visibility always follows your own access level. If you load a saved view created by someone with broader access, you will still only see the data you are authorized to see.
