EMS Safety Plans - Enhanced
This article provides an in-depth look at enhanced EMS safety plans.
Enhanced Safety Plans uses a dynamic engine. State mandated updates are applied to templates automatically in mid-July.

Accessing the Updated Safety Plan Wizard
Step 1: Log into https://secure.navigateprepared.com using your login credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to the Safety Plans icon on the Dashboard. Users can also select Safety Plans in the menu bar.
Step 3: Click Updated Safety Plan Wizard -CLICK HERE TO ENTER under the 2022-2023 template year.
Starting a New Safety Plan
Step 1: Begin by navigating to District Plan Templates and selecting the location via the Site dropdown.
Step 2: Select Create Plan for the chosen template.

This will create a Safety Plan Template at the selected Site. Completed Plans can be copied to other sites.

Editing a New Safety Plan
Step 1: After you've created a plan (see above), navigate to District Plan Templates and select your location via the Site dropdown.
Step 2: Select Edit on the chosen site template
Step 3: Review the Variable Fields to mass-update text fields throughout the Safety Plan.
Step 4: Quickly review each section of the Safety Plan by selecting a section from the Plan Overview on the right side of the screen.
Step 5: Add Variable Text into the Safety Plan section by selecting Insert Variable.
Step 6: Upon completing a section, select Complete to finalize the section.
Step 7: When the Safety Plan is finalized, select Mark Complete to indicate the Site’s Safety Plan is finalized.
Step 8: Once complete, plans can be copied to other buildings. See more information below.

Exporting a Safety Plan
Step 1: Begin by navigating to District Plan Templates and selecting your location via the Site dropdown.
Step 2: Now, click Edit for the template you wish to export.
Step 3: Select the Export button directly to the right of your plan's title.
Step 4: A PDF copy of your entire safety plan will now download.
Cloning Safety Plans to Additional Sites
Step 1: Begin by navigating to District Plan Templates and selecting your location via the Site dropdown.
Step 2: Now, click Clone for the template you wish to export.
Step 3: Select the desired Building to clone the plan from the dropdown menu.
Step 4: Select Clone Plan to open the copied plan in the new location.
