Drill Scenarios

Drill scenarios are available to Navigate360 Admin users in the Drill Logs section of the Emergency Management Suite (and mobile app). These were created in conjunction with Safe Havens International with realistic, real-world scenarios to better train and prepare staff in the event of an emergency and improve the overall effectiveness of your school’s safety plan.

To get started, click Scenarios.

You can filter scenarios by site, category, and different specifications. You can preview each scenario by selecting the Preview tab on the right-hand side.

Some scenarios will have audio or video clips associated with them if they have a speaker or play button icon shown beside the scenario.

Once inside the preview screen, you can read the content (and, if applicable, listen to the audio clip or watch the video).

You can keep a history of scenarios you use by selecting Mark as Used. You can log information such as the date it was used and how it was used. Click Log It! once you’re done.

You can still use scenarios even if they have been marked as completed or used before.

Adding Scenario

A feature with Drill Scenarios is the ability to add and create your own custom scenarios that can be viewed on the site as well as on the app. To do so, click the Add a Scenario button.

From the edit screen, you can select what site you want to designate it to, the title of the drill, the category, the scenario text, and discussion points for the scenario. Make sure you hit the save button after all fields are filled out.

This is a great way to go in and customize drill scenarios for your district or building. Take some time to meet with staff and discuss some situations you would like to add to your Drill Scenarios. You can continue to add to these scenarios over time as well.

Scenarios in the App

Aside from having access to the Drill Scenarios in the Emergency Management Suite, you will be able to utilize the NaviGate Prepared app as well.

From the app, select the Drill Scenarios tab.

Once inside Drill Scenarios, you can select the category you wish to view for your scenario.

Once you select your category, you will have a list of all scenarios within that category. You have the option to search scenarios as well. Select the scenario you wish to view.

Once your scenario is selected, you can read the content (and, if applicable, listen to the audio clip or watch the video). After the scenario has run, hit the Mark as Completed button. This will also update the information on the site. You can still use scenarios even if they have been marked as completed or used before.

Scenario Usage History

Once the scenario has been marked complete in the app or the site, you can see the updates under the Scenario Usage History after clicking the scenario title from the website.

It will also update on the Drill Scenario Dashboard.
