What Should I Add?
The Documents section of the Emergency Management Suite allows you to upload any type of electronic files, including .doc, .pdf, .xls, .ppt, .jpg and more.
Typical documents include anything related to emergency planning, preparedness, procedures, or response.
For example, policies or procedures for:
- Bomb threats
- Evacuation plans
- Active shooter / hostage situation
- Fire response
- Cyberattacks
- MSDS
How to Add Files
In the Documents section of your Emergency Management Suite, use the Add Documents to upload your files.
You can upload multiple files at one time, regardless of type. Don’t worry about modifying all of your documents before you upload them; you can update them at any time.
How to Add Videos
The document and floor plan modules allow you to upload videos that will stream back to you when accessed from a floor plan or document list.
Different browsers support different types of video files, and you must ensure you upload the format for the browser you plan to use. If you upload a video in a format not supported by the browser, the video can still be accessed. To do so, download the whole video first and then watch it on a player on your device.
Managing Documents
Once a document is uploaded, you can delete, rename, update, open the file, convert it to a PDF, and attach it to an existing virtual binder. These action items appear to the right of the file, or you can right-click the highlighted document.
The documents module allows you to search document titles – making finding critical information faster, especially if you have a long list. You can even sort by file type and dates. There is no limit to the number of documents you may upload to the Emergency Management Suite.
