Go Bucket

Be sure to include the following items in your Go Bucket. Can you think of additional items you can include?

 

Five-gallon Bucket: Store all your useful items here. It can also be used as a portable toilet. Use strong plastic bags as liners.

 

Toilet Seat: Use this to make it easier to use the bucket as a portable toilet. 

Shower Curtain: Can be used for privacy when using the toilet.

Toilet Paper: Can also double as tissue.

Disinfectant & Hand Sanitizer: Use to keep the area and hands clean after using the bucket as a portable toilet.

Food & Water: Choose food that has a long shelf-life such as granola bars and beef jerky.

Unique Identifier: Include a hat, vest, armband, or other unique identifier for the teacher and/or aide.

First Aid Kit: Make sure it is filled with standard items.  Consider adding feminine hygiene products.

Space Blanket: A thin blanket than can be used if someone is injured or cold. 

Class Roster: You will need to keep track of your students after evacuating. 

Time Passers: Age-appropriate cards and games to help pass the time.

Barricade or Evacuation Aides: Consider putting in rope, duct tape, zip ties, etc. you can use to barricade or evacuate more effectively.
